Lusaka District Commissioner Ashwell Kapengele says it is difficult for people to appreciate that the PF is working in line with its manifesto because the party had less input in the formulation of the 2012 budget.
Mr. Kapengele says the PF government is however trying its best to ensure that developmental programmes being implemented in the district are linked to the PF developmental plan.
He says the PF will be able to implement most of its developmental programmes using the 2013 budget which it will formulate.
Meanwhile Mr. Kapengele says his office has discovered that some contractors involved in the road maintenance works in the Capital city are not doing quality works and has since vowed to follow up the matter.
The district commissioner has further emphasized the need for social delivery and sanitation systems to be improved in the high density areas in the city.
He adds that there is also need for the planning of Lusaka district to be reviewed owing to the fact that the population has continued to increase.
Mr. Kapengele was speaking to QFM news in an interview.
