Mr. Mucheleka notes that it is therefore important for the government to find more sustainable means of raising the resources needed for economic diversification.

The parliamentarian has noted that it is therefore important for the PF government to begin devising means that will allow the country begin to raise more money from the extractive industry.

He adds that investing in crop diversification would in the long run help the country shift its economic dependency from the mining industry.

Mr. Mucheleka has observed that external sources of funds should be reduced as failure to do so would result in increased debt.

He adds that in an event where there is increased debt, the country is most likely to have its economic progress made so far reversed.
