The local currency recently recorded a 10 percent appreciation against major currencies.

In an interview with QFM News, PSDA chairperson Yusuf Dodia has attributed the Kwaqcha's gain in strength to increased foreign investment and political stability.

Mr. Dodia has however cautioned government to properly manage the growth of the country's economy in order to strengthen the Kwacha further.

He has also appealed to government to the support local investment which he says is critical to economic growth.
