PF in Mkushi to demonstrate against insults on President Sata

The ruling Patriotic Front in Mkushi District in Central Province has resolved to demonstrate against Mkushi South Member of Parliament Sydney Chisanga over his alleged offensive language against President Michael Sata.

PF Mkushi district secretary Obby Mwimbi says the party in the district has decided to demonstrate against the PM because it sees it wrong for him to insult republican president Michael Sata.

Mkushi South MP Sydney Chanda is alleged to have uttered some insults and demeaning remarks against president Sata while addressing some rallies in his constituency.

The PF district leadership has since written to the police for permission to hold their planned peaceful demonstration on Wednesday, 27th June, 2012 within Mkushi Boma.

In a statement to QFM, Mwimbi says it is through the demonstration that the PF wants to remind Mr. Chisanga and other opposition leaders that it will not take kindly insults on the head of state.

He has also appealed to the police in the area to be proactive every time there are allegations of a person committing an offence especially the head of state.
