The newly elected Handball Association of Zambia Executive Committee has pledged to improve the sport in the country.
Speaking in an interview with Qfm news, Association President Victor Banda says despite the sport existing in the country, it has received attention from sponsors.
He says one task that his executive will embark on is to create a local league that will enable teams across the country to compete.
Banda has therefore appealed to the corporate world to support the sport so that Zambia can compete in international engagements.
Those elected as executive members at this weekend's elective Annual General Meeting in Lusaka include Victor Bwalya Banda as President, Rose Mutupa as his vice while Penyani Phiri is the Secretary General with Vincent Penda as his vice.
Others are Noel Kandondo as national treasurer, Evans Machina as technical and development officer with Lewis Lupando while Josab Changa is the Marketing and Communications officer.
